#ecofriendlylife
It is substantial that as many people as possible are concerned with protecting the environment. We see it as our ultimate goal that will be achieved by disseminating the idea of the project.
The reasons listed below were our inspiration in creating the project and signalising its major areas of action:
- Environmental pollution has reached threatening volume.
- Water shortage and droughts makes life difficult for both people and animals.
- More and more people suffer health deterioration due to environmental pollution.
- Climate change damages the natural balance of the world.
- We believe that only a conscious society can reverse the detriment of the environment.
- The most effective way to gain knowledge of ecology is through education throughout the whole life, due to dynamic changes in the area of study.
Water pollution is also a relevant factor, as there are already millions of tonnes of plastic in the oceans and seas. Being aware of the scale of such defiling, we made sure to cooperate with partnering institutions that are located in countries bordering the sea. Their experience and knowledge of water protection has a critical added value to the project.
The target group
The target group of the project is the general population, but within this non-specific group we can distinguish two separate subgroups. Firstly, we want to reach people who are already interested in environmental protection – our aim is to deepen their knowledge. Secondly, we wish to appeal to the largest possible group of people who are not yet engaged in the topic of preservation of the environment.
Project Compliance
The project is also in line with the European Union’s environmental directives and the long-term strategy of the environmental plan to make the EU climate neutral by the year of 2050.
We want to make the public aware of the need for change regarding their damaging habits that are harmful to the natural environment and people’s own health.
1,5 tons of solid waste per year are generated by the average person
AIMS
To increase the ecological literacy of adults by educating them on key topics such as waste reduction, pollution prevention and water conservation.
To promote green mobility, in line with the European Union’s long-term goals of reducing carbon emissions and creating a continent more resilient to climate change.
By educating participants on the benefits of green transport, the project hopes to have a lasting impact on the behaviour of commuters and travellers.
It is paramount to us that all partner countries are vitally interested in protecting the purity of sea waters, due to their wide access to the sea. Since the prevention of water purity and the protection of the environment knows no borders, we all must take care of ecology and education in this area.
We plan to teach adults of all ages efficient and deep social communication regarding crucial topics to make effective changes in their everyday lives. The first subject is environmental protection. We aim to cover themes such as waste management, water protection, ecological transportation, etc. The idea is to present each subject by introducing different experts whose disquisitions will put an emphasis on educating and raising awareness of society about the reducing of environmental pollution.
New digital technologies can serve not only as a means of dealing with problems during various crises, but also as a measure of environmental protection. This is possible due to their versatility and almost endless potential educational role. We want participants of this project to join us and learn how we both as society and as individuals can all influence change thanks to new technologies. Our goal is to show beneficiaries ways in which they can appeal to different parts of the world around them. There are many highly effective organisations that use the latest technologies to help protect the Earth and its rich nature from climate change. We want to discover as many as we can and later share that insight with the project’s participants.
The subject of health and environmental degradation is not only a problem of one country. It is a global challenge that has to be faced in all parts of the world, which is why it is imperative for this project to have transnational character.
We believe that even minuscule changes gradually and permanently in the long term enhance the education and awareness-raising process – which can later be applied in projects like this one.
